Lily pulled the zip of her famous stars and straps jacket up to the very top in an attempt to keep out the brisk breeze that was blowing down Diagon Alley when she stepped out of Flourish and Blotts with Hepsy.
'Come on Heps!' She called back to her friend as she trudged forwards, 'We'll go to Florean Fortescue's. It's not exactly the weather for ice cream but I don't fancy going into the Leaky Cauldron.' The purple-haired Hogwarts student didn't stop walking until she reached the door of the ice cream parlour. She pushed open the door, stepped through it and then held it open for Hepsy who was a few paces behind.

In amongst the crowds of people that were beginning to fill up Diagon Alley stood a young, brown haired wizard. Rollo was just about to start his shopping for the new school term but somehow he'd managed to lose his friends in amongst the other people. Being only 5"4 the Hogwarts student struggled to see over the top of the crowd in his attempt to find his friends. It was when he was on the tips of his toes that he spotted someone who was the last person he expected to see here.
Hepsy? He thought, a little bit shaken by seeing her he just about managed to call out, "Hepsy!"

Hepsy followed Lily across Diagon Alley towards Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour, pushing her way past a fairly large group of Witches and Wizards who were just stood there, in the middle of Diagon Alley, talking amongst themselves and blocking the way for everyone else. Being short didn't make it any easier either.
"Excuse me." She said politely to the group, but they didn't hear her. "E-" She was about to repeat herself when she heard someone calling her name. She spun around and caught sight of some familiar looking floppy brown hair, but then one of the crowd of people moved, blocking her view. 'You're mind's playing tricks on you, he couldn't be here.' She convinced herself, sidling past the group of people and through the door that Lily was holding open.
"You know," She began, "I think I need to sit down, could you get me a strawberry sundae?" She asked her friend, not waiting for an answer before placing the appropriate coins into Lily's hand and moving over to a booth in the corner to sit down.

Lily looked at her best friend with a mixture of suspicion and concern upon her face as she curled her fingers around the coins that had been placed in her palm.
"Ok." She murmered as she turned around and approached the counter. "2 strawberry sundaes please." She told Mr Fortescue. It took the aging wizard only moments to supply Lily with the appropriate items and, after paying him, she returned to where Hepsy had chosen to sit.
Placing the glasses onto the table she sat down and smiled at her Hufflepuff companion.
"Remind me again Heps, what subjects have you taken?" She asked, trying to take her friend's mind over what ever was unsettling her.

Hepsy sat down on a wooden chair in the booth that was in the far most corner of the room. She unzipped her Atticus hoodie and placed it on the back of her chair, outside it was cold but inside Florean Fortescue's it felt like a Summer's day. No sooner had Hepsy done this than Lily was at the table with the strawberry sundaes. The small Hufflepuff girl gratiously thanked her friend and answered the question that she had been asked.
"Cheers Lily. Divination, astrology, charms and herbology. Remind me again, what are you doing?"

Lily shook her coat from her shoulders and folded it over her chair whilst Hepsy replied to her. She picked up her spoon and absentmindedly dipped it into her Strawberry Sundae. She brought it to her mouth, and the taste brought a smile to her lips.
"i've missed this place during the holidays." She mused, having two muggle parents meant that Lily spent most of her holidays away from the wizarding world.
"I'm doing Transfiguration, Herboloy, Arithmancy, Potions and Astrology. So we've got two subjects in common this year. Why aren't you doing Potions, Snape will be ever so sad?" Lily joked.

Rachel sat down in a corner away from people. She put down her cherry chocolate mint ice cream on the small circle table infront of her. Taking out a quill, parchment and her Ipod. she put on her head phones and turn on her music. She started writing on the parchment. Every so often she took a bite out of her ice cream. Finally finishing her writing, she put back her quill and parchment. Finding a spot on the wall. She stared at it. Her eyes looking so distant.
