Adela's mother came with her to the train station, making snide comments about the Muggles and then, once they were on platform 9 3/4, making equally snide comments about the "riff-raff" that she saw mingling on the platform and boarding the train.
Adela and her mother shared an umbrella. The younger of the two carrying it until they reached the door to a carriage. Alarice looked down at her daughter, a flicker of a smile on her lips. Adela stood on the tips of her toes and kissed her mother lightly on the cheek.
"Take care...I'll remember your tips" She whispered, wanting to say much more to her mother, wanting to tell her to give alcohol a break, to keep in touch. The tips that Adela mentioned were the instructions that Alarice had given her:
'Have fun. Cause trouble. Don't get caught.'
Adela liked that. It was typical of her mother to say such things to her, it was obvious that Alarice would love to be younger and be in her shoes.
With a small wave of her hand, and a little smile Adela stepped onto the train and began looking for an appropriate compartment. She carried her numerous bags and dragged her suitcase behind her, cursing herself for bringing so much luggage with her as usual.
Chancing upon a carriage with a single first year girl inside it Adela slid open the door.
"Pureblood?" She asked, since she couldn't ask the girl if she were a Slytherin if she hadn't been sorted yet.

Rachella had on her Ipod but notice the door opened and a older girl was entering. She was able to pull off her headphones before the girl asked the question. "Mixed, Father was a pure, Mother was a muggleborn."She said. Then turned off her things and put them away in her muggle 'Emily the strange' bag. Her white cat boo, moved to her lab. "My name is Rachella Benitte."

Adela decided that, seeing as this girl didn't look like she would cause her any trouble and wasn't a muggle born, she would enter the compartment.
Stepping inside Adela shrugged her coat off her shoulders and placed it, along with her luggage, on the rack above the empty seat.
She sat down daintily on the seat and looked across at the other girl. Deciding that she was in no mood to pick-on younger children, especially those who were potential Slytherins, Adela spoke to Rachella.
"I'm Adela, Adela Meliflua. Looking forward to Hogwarts?" She asked, drifting her eyes up and down the girl, taking in her appearance, noting in particular the muggle things which she owned.

"I've think it will be a benifit for me, then I can Jinx or curse my step father. He's really a pain in the arse. What house are you in? Slytherin, perhaps? I can narrow which house I am not going to be in." Rachella smirk as she said the last line.

Adela almost laughed when the girl told her that her step-father was "a pain in the arse" but she managed to keep the look of boredom upon her face. The teenager found it intriguing that Rachella was interested in learning curses and jinxes.
"I'm in Slytherin. Yes." Adela replied, a little cautious because the girl seemed to have figured her out quite easily. "Tell me, which house are you not going to be in? And which do you hope to be in?" Adela leaned forward a little, lowering her voice. "I, for one, do hope you wish to be in Slytherin, because I couldn't possibly be nice to someone who didn't."

"Well I know I'm not Hufflepuff since I'm not really the nicest person and not very talkative very much. Gryffindor Because I ain't brave...there's no courage in me. I might be in Ravenclaw Because I'm really smart, at least that what my Person-who-I'm-suppose-to-call-mother says to me. I might be in Slytherin for my love of evil and making a riot around people." Rachella told Adela. A little proud that if she made Slytherin would be lucky to know someone.

This girl certainly was intriguing and, for now, Adela could see no harm in engaging in a little light conversation with her.
"Slytherin is the house to be in if you want to really make something of yourself," Adela raised one eye-brow, "If you know what I mean."
Leaning back in the seat Adela looked out of the window.
"I couldn't imagine not being close to my mother..." She voiced her thoughts aloud.

"Well when your mother marries a muggle who hates your very existences. You'll see why I'm not close to her." Rachella said curelly but it wasn't for Adela it was for Her-suppose-to-mother-and-step-father.

Adela watched as raindrops slid down the pane of glass in the window, she listened with increasing interest to the young girl sat opposite her.
"So you would share my view that Muggles are scum?" She asked, not taking her attention away from the window, the train had set off now and the English countryside was going past.

"In my point of view I don't think they should be even here." Rachella spoke then looked out the window and saw it was raining. A smile appeared. Muttered to herself. "I love the rain...so comforting"
