As he was leaving the Great Hall and heading towards the Slytherin Dungeon Haydn was thinking about the curious first year girl who he'd just been speaking with.
He would have bumped into a Hufflepuff girl had she not shouted and broken his trail of thought just at the right moment.
He scowled, clearly disgruntled by the girls mere prescence in the corridor. And then he noticed the girl was staring at something. He followed her eyes into a darkened classroom and here he was met with a peculiar sight which made his blood begin to boil. It was Adela, with a boy, a Gryffindor boy!
It was obvious to Haydn that this bastard was assaulting Adela, for there was no other reason why she'd be in such close proximity with him. And believing this, Haydn stormed into the room with his fists raised.
"Get the fuck off her!" He shouted.
And with that he aimed a punch right at the boy's head.

Everything happened too fast for Rollo, who was a slow and relaxed person by nature. One minute he was realizing why the Slytherin girl had him in a vicious grip, then he saw Hepsy and then...
THUMP! A fist hit him square on the jaw and he was falling backwards, hitting his head on the corner of a desk as he dropped to the floor.
Rollo did not stir, banging his head on the table had knocked him out cold.

Hepsy did not notice the Slyhterin boy. She heard him shout and she saw him lunge forward but she was unaware what he said as she was transfixed, shocked and hurt all in one moment.
But then Rollo was falling to the floor, his head banged painfully against the corner of a table and he landed heavily on the floor, this was when Hepsy's sense came back to her. She screamed loudly and dashed forward.
"Rollo!" She shouted again as she sank to her knees in front of him. "Wake up, it's me." She whispered, ignoring the two Slytherins in the room.
Hepsy saw only the danger that Rollo was in and her kindness and feelings towards the boy were so strong that, for now, she was over looking what she had just caught him doing.

Just as Adela was really starting to enjoy her revenge and just as the Gryffindor finally recognised her, things became even more interesting!
She didn't turn towards the doorway, from which a girl had just shouted the boy's name. Instead she stayed exactly as she was and was about to whisper something menacing into Rollo's ear when someone charged into the room.
Recognising Haydn's voice, and shocked at his sudden intrusion, Adela let go of Rollo. And she was just in time, for the next thing she knew Haydn had punched him and he was lying unconcious on the floor!
Now Adela turned slowly towards Haydn, a smile playing on the corners of her lips.
"That really wasn't necessary you know. But it was quite amusing, I'll give you that."

Haydn looked smug as the other boy fell to the floor, he felt powerful and in control. He felt even better about himself when the lad knocked himself out - that meant there would be no fighting back from him today.
He watched the other girl, a Hufflepuff he vaguely recognised, sink to the floor next to the unconcious body and thought how pathetic she was to help another. But then he remember that he himself had just helped another - Adela.
He looked inquiringly at his fellow Slytherin, hoping she would fall into his arms with gratitude. But sadly, this was not the case. She was smiling, but it was not a smile of relief, it was indeed a smile of happiness - but there was a cruel edge to it.
He listened disbelievingly to what Adela said, and then he replied in a bold and obnxious manner, "You know you were helpless without me girl. Aren't you going to say thank you?"

Adela laughed at what Haydn said.
"Oh you poor thing," She said, though there was no pity in her voice, "You saw what was happening and wanted to rescue me, didn't you?"
Adela reached out and touched Haydn's hand, "Well, I am touched Haydn." She just about managed to conceal her smirk. "But now, rather than having a scared Gryffindor as I intended, we have an un-concious Gryffindor! Which isn't really ideal. And I suppose I'll have to deal with this situation and make sure they keep quiet?"

Hepsy was shaking Rollo's shoulders but he just wasn't waking up. She listened silently to the two Slytherins who were still in the room as she gently put Rollo into the recovery position and took a bar of chocolate out of her bag, which she placed on the floor next to the boy.
Then she stood up and faced the culprits. She wasn't known for her bravery, but everbody has their moments.
"Look what you've done to him." She said quite quietly, "You didn't need to hit him."

Before Haydn replied to Adela she noticed the Hufflepuff girl getting to her feet in the corner of her eye.
She turned round and looked the other girl steadily in the eye as she spoke. When the other girl had finished Adela stepped closer to her, pulling her wand from inside her robes.
"You wouldn't want to go telling anybody though, would you?" She asked, a threatening look upon her face.
